The holiday home in front of the Schöneberger Tor is located on the edge of the old town of Hofgeismar, which is characterized by half-timbered houses, next to the old city wall in a central yet quiet location. The house, built in 1923 in a homeland style, has a garden with fruit trees on the back. A front garden extends to the Schöneberger Tor up to the quarry stone wall with a pergola on the corner. It is the ideal starting point for activities in the Sleeping Beauty City and the neighboring Reinhardswald, but also for excursions to Kassel, about 25 km away, with Wilhelmshöhe Palace and the Grimm Museum. The train station is 1200 m away and the Central Bus Station (ZOB) is approx. 500 m away. The bright, light-flooded house is geographically located in the middle of Germany. It offers space for several (small) families (e.g. for a family or friend's meeting) in a beautiful, hilly landscape with fields, forest and river valleys, which are just as easy to walk as the shops (small shops in the old town, delicatessens and a large supermarket) can be reached. We do not want pure celebrating groups (e.g. bachelor party). You can park right in front of the house. The basement can be used for bicycles. The house is equipped with WiFi, kitchen and smoke detectors.

The house offers 165sqm, 4 bedrooms, kitchen, dining and living room, 2 bathrooms, library and study on 3 floors as well as a cellar, terrace and garden. In 2017, it was extensively renovated in line with the preservation of historical monuments (including wooden floors, lime plaster walls, historic original furniture) and furnished in a simple, lovingly and tastefully rural manner. The rooms have a view of the small town streets with the beautiful morning sun or of the adjacent gardens, or of the landscape from the top floor. The house is a non-smoking property. Unfortunately pets are not allowed. A maximum of 9 people can sleep in 2 double beds, 2 single beds on the 1st floor, a single room on the 2nd floor directly next to the bathroom with shower and bathtub, on a folding sofa in the library with connected shower room on the ground floor.
