The natural stone villa Bona Sort was built at the end of the 1990s by a German architect as a holiday home for him and his family. As the family loved the beach as much as playing golf, they chose this location because of its proximity to both. When designing the house, the owners also attached great importance to providing each resident with enough space to retreat for a few hours. As a result, the bedrooms are spacious and look like small suites with small terraces and direct access to the pool and the Mediterranean garden, which nestles up to the house and offers plenty of shady spots. In other words, the villa is perfect for people who want to spend their holidays alone or with their children, parents or friends in harmony, but thanks to its spaciousness have the opportunity to spend a few hours in peace and quiet. If you also enjoy playing golf or love the beach, this could be the villa of your dreams! The outdoor area of the accommodation also has an outdoor shower and a barbecue.
The spacious combined living/dining area with adjoining, fully equipped kitchen, further sun and seating terraces, pool area and barbecue seating area under an old olive tree offer guests spaces for socialising on holiday. In the living room you will find an open fireplace, a large 43-inch satellite TV and a stereo system with CD player. Let's take a look at the 3 bedrooms in detail: master suite with en suite bathroom and large double bed (1.60 x 2.00 m), 1 suite with en suite bathroom and 2 single beds (can be pushed together, 0.90 x 2.00 m each), and 1 further suite with separate WC and 2 single beds (can also be pushed together, 0.90 x 2.00 m each). Incidentally, mosquito nets over the beds ensure that you can enjoy a restful night's sleep with the windows open. If you want to spend a holiday on the island in the winter months, perhaps to watch the almond trees blossom, which magically transform the island from mid-January to mid-March, or simply to escape colder climes, then the central heating is just the thing for you and the fireplace in the living room ensures a cosy atmosphere in the villa even on cooler days. The popular seaside resort of Cala Ratjada is only 10 kilometres away and offers plenty of tourist attractions for young and old, such as a picturesque harbour (with ferries along the coast and to the neighbouring island of Menorca) and a variety of bars and restaurants. The neighbouring small medieval towns of Artà and Capdepera (both 4 km) have retained their original medieval charm and thus stand out clearly from the newer, more interchangeable tourist resorts along the coast. Both towns have everything you need to stock up on groceries and other essentials, as well as numerous restaurants and food shops. Be sure to visit the Parc Natural northeast of Artà (10 km from the villa), one of Mallorca's largest nature reserves (1,500 ha), which combines the mountains of Llevant with secluded coves, beaches and steep cliffs on the coast. The area has become quite a popular and well-developed destination for hiking and climbing in recent years, but at the same time it is mostly quiet and deserted. The family-friendly Villa Bona Sort has been designed with great attention to detail and taste; it is a real treasure in the north-east of the island. The villa is situated between Artà and Canyamel in a quiet location, virtually in the centre between the Capdepera, Canyamel and Son Servera golf courses, which are all just a few kilometres away. The nearest beach (Platja de Canyamel) is 5 km away and within a radius of 10 km you are spoilt for choice between a variety of the most beautiful beach sections of Mallorca.
