Beautiful House in Grimersum with Barbecue and Garden and Open View

This beautiful house is in Grimersum, about 5km from Greetsiel. The location right by the Greetsiel Canal (“Greetmer Deep”) invites you to spend a holiday here not only in summer. The house is right next to the house “Kiek-Weet” (on the right on the photo) in an absolutely quiet residential area on a cul-de-sac.Generous wellness holiday house with a sauna, a fireplace stove and a terrace, in a quiet location right by the Greetsiel Canal, ideal for a family holiday

The terrace invites you to sit and relax. A rowing boat and a canoe are available (for a fee). A pet is allowed on request.

The house has four bedrooms, of which one is on the ground floor, and two shower rooms. It can accommodate eight people and is also ideal for e.g. two families. The beautiful wooden ceiling beams and the maritime décor give the house a very special character. The ground floor has a generous living and dining room with a fireplace stove and large doors opening onto the terrace with an open view over meadows and fields. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, microwave and dishwasher etc. The storage room right next to it has a washing machine and dryer. The bathroom on the ground floor is fitted with a shower, WC and bidet and also features a sauna. One of the (parents’) bedrooms with a double bed is on the ground floor and therefore also suitable for a holiday with e.g. grandparents. The upper floor comprises three further bedrooms, one with a double bed, two each with two single beds, and a further shower room.

The canal right next to the site has a connection to Greetsiel and Emden, in summer by boat, in winter partly on skates. There is a lovely public playground a short walk away, so children could even go there alone. Just a few minutes from the house there are charmingly restored fishermen’s houses from the previous century. There are many trip destinations all around accessible by bike, car or boat, to ensure an interesting stay in Grimsersum, which is about 5km from Greetsiel and 15km from Norddeich and Emden. The dry beach in Upleward is also 5km away. The little locality with a prettily preserved village character is among the villages that were set up as trading places in the Middle Ages along the sea inlets for Frisian farming traders. Parts of the castle town with the remains of tombs are still preserved and can be accessed along a footpath. Shops, restaurants can be found in the neighbouring village Eilsum, and an indoor pool, tennis, minigolf etc. in the fishing village of Greetsiel, which offers its guests Frisian raw originality and is ideal for a leisurely stay.

    “Wir sind sehr zufrieden, alles war sauber und ohne Mängel. Die Küche war mit allen wichtigen ausgestattet, was man zum kochen so braucht. Die Schlafzimmer sind gemütlich eingerichtet und das Bett war absolut sauber. Der große Esstisch bot uns allen reichlich Platz zum Essen und spielen. Auch das Sofa lädt zum abendlichen Fernsehen und entspannen ein.
    Wirklich sehr schönes Haus. Leider etwas abseits gelegen, ohne Auto kann man da nicht viel unternehmen.”
