This very beautiful stone building is spacious and bright and awaits you in a quiet setting in the heart of an old farm with exposed stone walls and magnificent parquet floors.
Here you are 30 km from the largest volcano in Europe, the Puy Mary (1787 m).
Your accommodation was part of a cheese farm dating back to 1929 and was renovated in 2007. Riom is known for its production of Cantal and Bleu d'Auvergne. Salers cows are also raised here and their delicious meat is known all over the world. In addition, every year in July, a delicious gentian liqueur is produced. This flower, gave its name to the picturesque train that takes you to Lugarde through magnificent panoramas on a route dotted with tunnels and viaducts.
The landscape consists of forests, lakes and waterfalls. A paradise for fishermen and hikers. Walkers can choose from 150 km of signposted routes, on foot, on horseback or by mountain bike. The most experienced can reach the top of Puy Mary to observe the 7 glacial valleys. The less motivated can stroll along the river that crosses the town.
Every Saturday morning, a small market is held in Les Halles, which twice a month expands its stalls in the streets of the town center, for even more tradition and conviviality.
