This stunning fortified stone house dates back to the 13th Century and is known locally as Château Marcoux. It is situated 3km from the pretty French village of Beauville in the Lot et Garonne. The unique home sits on high ground amongst 17 acres of private grounds and woodland and enjoys breathtaking views over the surrounding valleys - these are best enjoyed from the three master bedrooms or from one of the numerous terraces.

The main house is home to a comfortable and spacious drawing room, complete with open fireplace and exposed stone walls. The drawing room is adjacent to a large and well-equipped kitchen and diner. Both rooms have double doors which open onto a secluded walled terrace, which is ideal for alfresco summer dining. You will also benefit from a snug/TV room, a utility room and a shower room on the ground floor. Upstairs, the first floor has been cleverly designed in order to maximise the space and make use of the building's original height. Here you will find four bedrooms: two master bedrooms with an en-suite bath or shower room, a twin bedroom with wahbasin, and a double bedroom with washbasin. The fifth bedroom is located just beyond the outside terrace, which ensures that it is perfect for those seeking a little more privacy - it is equipped with a shower room and separate toilet. The house's pigeonnier opens onto a poolside terrace and has a sitting room and bathroom, as well as stairs which lead to the sixth bedroom, which has double aspect windows with views to remember! Beneath is the vaulted Cellar & outside access to the laundry room & through to poolside decked terrace. (Small children must be supervised here at all times as steep grassed slope into forest).

Outside, the holiday home boasts a salt water pool, a heated swimming pool and a shower, which sits alongside a large vaulted cellar with summer sofas and a table tennis table.
