Exclusive villa with private pool and seaviews for 8 people close to the beach in Calpe



Villa MARIE is located in the outskirts of CALPE. It extends over two floors with a total of 4 separate entrances. The property always goes to only one tenant, so that you can use both apartments. On the upper floor there is a large living room with CLIMATE, fireplace, 126 cm/50" SAT-TV (HDMI), ceiling fan, DVD, WLAN Internet and two bedrooms with two double beds each and air conditioning. Furthermore dining room, hall, full bathroom with bidet, guest toilet and kitchen. It is fully equipped with refrigerator, coffee machine, dishwasher, ceramic stove top, microwave, kettle, toaster and dishes including a large paella pan. There is also a washing machine, tumble dryer and drying area. The illuminated, private POOL measures 5 x 10 meters and is cleaned weekly. The place is suitable for sunbathing, socialising in the evening and barbecues. There is another terrace at the level of the kitchen. In the basement there is another apartment with a large living-bedroom, air conditioning, satellite TV, DVD, a small bedroom, full bathroom with toilet and a small kitchen, as well as two separate terraces. RESTAURANTS in the direct neighbourhood: two minutes on foot you need to reach one of the restaurants located in the direct vicinity of the house: The Maryvilla Restaurant with German cuisine and secondly the renowned restaurant OSCAR, which offers French specialities. In Calpe we recommend LAS OLAS with Spanish cuisine. About 100 meters from the house you can (mostly) get daily baked goods and breakfast supplies from the German speaking baker. The BEACHES: (1) PLAYA PUERTO BLANCO (900 meters). This small beach is located near the Puerto Blanco marina. It is made of sand and round stones and is equipped with foot showers, toilets, wastebaskets, jetties and lifeguards. (2) PLAYA ARENAL-BOL (3 KM). At the foot of Peñón de Ifach, inside the city of Calpe, we find this fine sandy beach with wonderful water, which was awarded the blue flag in 2008. It is approximately 1400 metres long with an average width of 60 metres and is equipped with the following services: Surveillance and rescue service, disabled access, signposted accesses, accesses for cars, city buses, parking, toilets, showers, water sports, cleaning service, jetties, rental of umbrellas and sunbeds and a kiosk. A fully equipped beach so that the family can enjoy the sun and the Mediterranean Sea. (3) PLAYA LEVANTE (5.6 KM). This is the most popular beach in Calpe, with a length of 950 metres of fine sand, located to the north of Peñón de Ifach. It is also the most complete beach in Calpe and is equipped with jetties, wastebaskets, children's playground, rental of roller skates, umbrellas and sunbeds, foot showers, ambulance, bathrooms, showers, changing rooms and a sports field. This beach has also been awarded the Blue Flag and the new Q certification for quality beaches by the Spanish Institute for Tourism Quality (ICTE). We recommend renting a car in Alicante, it is advisable on the spot and it costs less than a taxi. However, you should only rent a car within the airport terminal.

    “Schöne Lage, nicht empfehlenswert in den Wintermonaten da viele Fenster und Türen nicht Dicht sind und die Kosten für die Klimaheizung hoch sind. In den Wintermonaten hat es praktisch keine Sonneneinstrahlung im Haus und im Garten. Positiv: Wunderbare Aussicht, schöner Garten mit Pool Negativ: Gesamteinrichtung , das Haus benötigt eine Renovation, vor allem die Küche (Backofen). Die Türe Küche-Aussenbereich ist nicht Dicht. Das Schloss für den Autoparkplatz ist defekt.”

    “The basement apartment cannot really be called a villa as it was very dark with limited amenities - pretty much all cooking had to be done in the upstairs apartment. The decor was extremely drab and dated. However, the upstairs part of the property was stunning and spacious and well decorated. Positiv: Loved how rustic and homely the villa felt; like we had just stepped into someone elses world. The gardens were beautiful. The views were amazing. Location was great - not too close to Calpe center, but far enough to feel out of the way. Negativ: Mosquitoes! Make sure you bring repellent. Hidden extras were not appreciated. We knew there was a €250 deposit (the caretaker tried to charge us €300), but we didn't know until a few weeks before that there was €150 (caretaker asked for €160) cleaning charge - and we also had to pay for the gas / electricity used too. We were told to call the caretaker when we landed in Alicante so he would meet us at the villa. I called numerous times and he would hang up on me. We drove towards the villa thinking we were being scammed (caretaker now had his phone turned off) - he eventually called and still didn't know who we were. Eventually, and I have no idea how, he suddenly remembered that we were coming. He said he thought we were meant to be German and the fact we were British confused him. How many villas does he manage at the same address that I gave him? Empfehlung: Families - Close to Calpe - about a 10 minute drive to the main beach in Calpe. Secure parking, but only big enough for 1 car, not 2. We were warned that the area has a lot of break-ins, so we had to keep the secure gates locked at all times.”

    “Wir hatten eine tolle Woche. Wenn die paar "Mängel" welche wir dem Besitzer mitgeteilt haben, behoben werden, können wir das Haus gut weiterempfehlen. Positiv: Die Aussicht war garandios. Der Pool schön gross und gut gepflegt. Die Leute waren alle sehr nett und auch bei kleinen Problemen sofort zur Stelle. Negativ: Die Ausstattung hat teilweise eine Erneuerung nötig. z.B. die Matratzen sollten dringend ersetzt werden. Ohne Auto wäre man ziehmlich aufgeschmissen. Wir hatten sehr viele Mücken.”
