House of the Square

Typical seaside house, completely remodelled in 2016. It is located in the heart of Aveiro's historic centre, near the Chapel of São Gonçalinho (1714), next to Praça do Peixe and its typical bars and restaurants.

This beautiful house (renovated in 2016) consists of three floors: the ground floor has a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom and a living-dining room; the 1st floor has a bathroom with shower and two bedrooms, the first with a single bed and the second with a double bed. The 2nd floor is identical to the 1st floor.

If you arrive by train, Aveiro railway station is a 15-minute walk from the house. Porto airport is an hour's drive from Aveiro.

The historic neighbourhood of Beira-Mar, with its elegant 19th century architecture, cobbled streets and canals lined with colourful moliceiros boats. While you're in town, visit the famous Mercado do Peixe - a traditional market with some of the best seafood restaurants in Aveiro, located thirty metres from the house. In the neighbourhood you'll find museums, churches and historic buildings, numerous restaurants and a wide range of shops and bars. Choose one of the traditional cafés as you stroll around the city and taste the divine ovos moles, which are the district's speciality. You can also go for a bike ride on the so-called BUGAS (bicycles provided by the town hall), ride along the city's sparkling canal, through the picturesque alleys and explore some of the attractions further away from the centre.
