In the Country of Bastides

Castelnau-de-Montmiral is a medieval town proudly dominating the Vère valley. The view from inside the village, classified among "The most beautiful in France", justifies this impression of an impregnable fortress. The typical charm of the facades, its square with its arcades and its pillory bear witness to a history and heritage that are still very present.
That's not all, nature lovers will be able to discover magnificent trails and viewpoints over the nearby Grésigne forest. A former observation post and impregnable fortress, Castelnau is today a haven of peace whose charming central square is inaccessible to cars. A jewel inherited from the Middle Ages, the city is home to treasures to discover. Are you ready to travel back in time?

** THE GITE **

Gîte adjoining the owners' house, located in an annex with independent access. Castel Mazars is a guest house offered as a gîte for 6 people (+ 2 people possible with convertible sofa in the living room). Reference G2130 on Gîtes de France for guest rooms.

- Kitchen accessible from the outside with bay window. Equipment: small dishwasher, mini combined oven, refrigerator - freezer, kettle, filter coffee maker and Nespresso®, toaster, 2 electric hotplates and microwave.
- Living room with comfortable convertible sofa, dining table and TV. From the living room, bathroom with washing machine, shower, sink and separate toilet. Between the living room and the kitchen: 3 steps.

The three bedrooms are upstairs, air-conditioned, each with private bathroom and toilet.
- Aster bedroom with two 90cm beds (or 180cm bed), beautiful exposed beams
- Pastel room with two 90cm beds (or 180cm bed). The Pastel room communicates with the Capucine room.
- Capucine bedroom with 160cm double bed. Access to this room from an external staircase, or from the Pastel room

Outdoor spaces in front of the gîte with barbecue, plancha and outdoor table. 2 hectares of garden/land surround the house to share with the horses who benefit from this space. Pétanque court next to the car park, at the entrance to the property.

Heated swimming pool below the house, facing the fields occupied by the horses, to share with the owners. Dimensions: 8x6m with roller shutter, ranging from 0.60 to 1.70m deep.

Extra bed on request. On site, owners' dogs: bichon and cairn terrier.

** RIDER WELCOME:
Nadine and Philippe own horses that you will come across during your stay. If you want to come with your horse, it's possible!
