    “In Bockau selbst befinden sich eine Einkaufsmöglichkeit, eine Gaststätte, eine Sparkasse sowie eine Tankstelle. Mit etwas Bewegung sind diese Orte auch fußläufig zu erreichen, doch wer Zeit sparen will, nimmt dann eher das Auto. Für größere Einkäufe lohnt sich die Fahrt in die ein paar Kilometer entfernte Stadt Aue. In Bockau selbst gibt es ein Spirituosenmuseum. Weitere Sehenswürdigkeiten sind im Erzgebirge verstreut. Für Kinder bietet sich bei schlechtem Wetter ein Ausflug nach Zwickau ins Zwickelino an. Auch der Zoo der Minis in Aue ist immer einen Besuch wert. In den Bergen gibt es gute Möglichkeiten zu joggen oder zu radeln. Das Preisniveau des Ortes und der Umgebung ist landestypisch.”
